Monday Morning Thoughts

The frequency of my blogs has gone down this past week. I apologize to all of you who yearn deeply for more and more of my random thoughts. (yes, both of you!) The Chapter 2 campaign is in full swing and so is my schedule. Should be that way for the next few weeks. No matter. Here's what's on my mind this morning.
  • I don't care how many times Ed preaches about reaching unconnected people, it just does not get old for me. That's just what it's all about.
  • I spent Saturday evening with a whole bunch of CCC leaders just worshipping God and talking about the Chapter 2 vision (along with some great Mexican food & 90s trivia!!!) It reminded me of those pioneers who said "Yes" to God way back in 1991 and started CCC. Every life that's been changed these past 16 years is a legacy of their obedience to the Father. Now, there are so many more of us taking the challenge and saying "Yes" to what God will do next in this county. I can't imagine what God will have done when we look back one day at this next chapter. I can't wait.
  • Had a great time meeting some CCCer's face to face at the group fellowship meetings I was at on Sunday. If you haven't made plans to attend one of these meetings....YOU MUST!!! It's one of the 3 things we're all doing for Chapter 2: Pray. Get Involved. Give.
  • God continues to affirm His vision for the 60,000 in my heart. Last night when I got home, my wife was so excited to tell me about a conversation she had with one of our 4 people we wrote down on Vision Day and they may be coming with us to church soon. It shouldn't shock me but I'm always amazed at how the Holy Spirit works in peoples' lives even before we make the invitation. The Father is always in "search mode."
