Back from my blogging hiatus

I took a whole week off from blogging because A) I ate like a hog, B) watched football, and C) nobody in Tennessee where I spent the holidays has Wi-Fi!!!! Figures. Anyway, it's Monday morning and here's what's going on...

• Yesterday's service was one of those awesome CCC team efforts. The drama team cracked me up every time with Debbie Downer. Who knew Dawn Coffman could make that many goofy faces?? And John Martin backed by our vocalists really knocked it out of the park on that last song.
• I have the most awesome wife who will let me tell so many stories about her in a sermon! Yet another reason why she's my hero.
  
• Thanksgiving is officially over because the Christmas decorations are up at the Collins house. Last night was Abby's first time getting to help decorate the tree. It was way more emotional for me than I expected. Her face lit up brighter than the tree and it was the highlight of my weekend.
• This Sunday, we kick off our new series - "What's Up With That?" We've got lots of stuff planned that we think is funny. Who knows if anybody else will? This week's topic is baptism. We're attempting something in the service that I don't think we've ever done before. Show up and find out.
• I haven't got a chance to say "Way to go, CCC!!" for the amazingly generous first fruits offering you guys gave to wrap up Chapter 2. I don't remember the exact amount but it was somewhere around $158,000. You guys rock.
• The Bulldogs are #4 and headed to a BCS bowl!!!!
