What a day!!!
I'm not sure I have the words to describe the experience of the baptisms at yesterday's services. In case you haven't heard, after all three services were over a total of 19 people responded to the message and were baptized. We were overwhelmed when 10 people responded during the 10:30 service, which is our largest attended service. But we were even more blown away when 8 people came at noon because that service has only about one third as many as 10:30. From my perspective of standing in the water, it was almost more than I could take in as I looked to my right and saw people lined up all the way down the stairs, towels in hand, ready to be buried in a watery grave and rise to walk a new life. At one point as I was placing one person after another under the water, I had this thought come to my mind: As spiritually and emotionally full as I am right now, I wonder what Peter felt like in Acts 2 when there were 3000 people lined up for a baptism? We knew that because of the message we were presenting that allowing for people to respond immediately was just what God wanted us to do. We had prayed all week that God would place the right people in the service and that they would have the courage to respond. And He answered in a big way! At one point, we started running out of shorts and people were changing out of wet shorts and handing them to the others who were in line. And they were gladly, enthusiastically putting on cold, wet clothes just for the chance to obey what God told them to do. By the time I got out of the water at 3rd service, the depth of the pool had dropped by several inches because of the water people had carried out with them! What else can I say? It was awesome. Only God!!!!

Jason, I can't express how much your message meant to me. I always love your messages, but yesterday really hit home when my mom got up at the end of the message. It meant even more that you were the one to baptize her since you baptized me a few years back.

Jason, Yesterday was by far my most favorite service i have ever seen ccc do. Even better then last Easter. To watch all those people get baptized was amazing. I even cried during 3rd. You did a great job, you delivered the message in the best way possible, and got a lot of people to make the decision to turn their lives to god. It was a great site to see, and i loved it more than you can imagine.
Jason, i always love to see people get baptized and always cheer loudly for them but Sunday was so special. I had tears rolling down my face and still tear up when i think of how many people listened to Gods will and followed their heart. It was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful experience for all! Kudos to you all for continuing to move people as only GOD and CCC can. I am so proud to be part of the church.

Amazing grace! I was at the 12 pm service and cried all through the baptisms. And that was before I knew about the wet shorts! When I read that, I started blubbering all over again. Way to go Jason and everyone else at CCC. It's Acts chapter 2, live in Coweta county, and we get to be part of it.
