Weekend Update

• You know when you get one of those "wake up calls" that you're not as young as you used to be? Got one on Saturday!! After spending the day chasing the girls around a swimming pool, my wife put me to work in the yard. Went to bed feeling like I'd been hit by a truck and I had to get up early the next morning and preach. The things we do for love, fellas.
• My parents are back from vacationing in Florida! (I just added that because they read my blog now...Hi, Mom!)
• Thank you to all of the people who've sent encouraging words my way about Sunday's message. I've heard from so many folks about how God used it to speak to them. There were moments that I felt like I was doing a pretty crappy job. I think God does that for me sometimes to remind me..."It ain't about you or how you feel!" And that's a good thing, too.
• How about that teaser video for the Mouthwash series?....Fabulous!
• In case you've been buried under a rock, CCC Madras performed its first 2 baptisms yesterday. Read more at Bill's blog. I can't tell you how pumped I am for what God's doing through that team. Keep going, guys! There's more to come!
• Speaking of CCC Madras, I'm so looking forward to being there this Sunday night for their first Discovery Class. If you're attending that campus, do not miss it! 6pm at Madras Middle School. I'll see you there.
• Have you signed up for a small group yet? If you haven't, you should be on that like a fat kid eating cake! (lighten up...it's a joke)
• So much for the Braves making a run for the pennant. I'm not writing off the rest of the season yet. But I'm getting ready to.
