Weekend Update

• Great attendance at both campuses yesterday - 1240. But even more importantly, Madras had 11 first time visitors and 10 second timers. That's unreal!! We haven't even sent out our fall postcards yet.
• Speaking of postcards, start watching your mailboxes. We have a new series that will certainly get people talking about grace again (just like last year). I hear they'll be coming out in the next week or so. It makes a great way to extend an invitation to friends so...be ready!
• Great work by our video team yesterday. Very funny and very powerful stuff all on the same day.
• The message on lying worked me over. Got to watch myself on the whole distortion and exaggeration thing.
• If you didn't think yesterday's message applied to you, just wait. This Sunday, it's gossip.
• Started my full devotion group on Friday night. It was the 3rd or 4th year in a row that my wife and I have attended a new group to start the year. There are some great people in there that I'm excited to get to know better and grow with. They're pretty serious about taking their action steps each week. That's a good thing for me.

• Saturday was our monthly Frontline meeting and it was awesome. I love spending time with our incredible CCC ministry leaders.
• Abby lost another tooth last night. That girl just keeps growing up on me.
• What is it about the Olympics that makes me sit and watch hours of sporting events that I would never dream of watching otherwise? But that 4x100 relay final last night was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
• This stuff scares me.
