Weekend Update (late edition)

Thanks, Bill, for gloating about getting in your weekend comments before me. (You can read his remarks here) Maybe you should take a day off now and then, dude. It's called Labor Day not because we work but because we take some down time!! Better late than never...

• What a crazy Sunday. We had sound and video problems all morning at Sharpsburg, but by the time everybody walked in the doors you would have never known. Our teams did great pulling everything together.
• Bill almost had to preach at Madras on Sunday! That would have been awesome.
• I've been getting all kinds of positive comments about Sunday's message. People were glad to get some of their questions answered and know that we have good reasons to trust the Bible.
• Keep voting for your favorite topics for the "You Asked For It" series.
• Celebrated Ava's 2nd birthday on Saturday. Still can't believe it's been 2 years. She's not a baby anymore.
• I say this every 6 months, but I LOVE VISION DAY!!!! And I can't wait for it to get here on Sunday. I always can count on walking away from the service fired up about what God has in store for us. Make sure you don't miss this service.
• College football kicked off this weekend and it was awesome. Go Dawgs! We've got one more week before the season starts getting tough.
• Prison Break season premiere was last night. The storyline looks interesting this year.
