"Don't be afraid! From now on you'll be fishing for people!" There is so much going on in that little phrase. That was the moment these guys went from an average, ordinary life to a supernatural, extraordinary life. Fishing would have brought them money and given their families a nice, secure, happy life. But fishing for people? There's nothing on earth you can do with your life that matters more. It might not always bring you "happy, secure and nice." In fact, it usually will bring the opposite. But having tasted what it's like to help people find their way back to God, there's no comparison. And these disciples must have known it because they ditched the whole business to follow Jesus. I want so badly for every person at CCC to live a life of "people fishing."
