If you can't identify with these Psalms, you probably haven't been following Jesus very long. Who hasn't sat in the middle of a worship service with people all around who are joyfully praising God and thought - "Why am I so discouraged? Where is God? Why has He forgotten me?" But here's what I love most about the way David writes these two Psalms. Every time he asks those questions, he follows it right back with these words - "I will put my hope in God. I will praise Him again." When I've felt like that and faith has been hard for me over the years, my opinion is this: What else am I gonna do? I can get mad and walk away from God or I can put my life in His hands. Which one is best? I can either hurt and grieve with God or without Him.
