Usually letters like this were read aloud to the church. I can imagine what a cool experience it was for them to read the personal greetings that Paul gives. It's also worth pointing out how sections like this prove just how much the early church broke down gender barriers that existed in the culture. Women were kept in very low positions in society and you can tell from Paul's words that in the church of Jesus, that is not the case. Everyone was equal and working side by side with no division or distinctions among them. I love that.
