It's interesting as you read Proverbs in whole chapters instead of bite sized verses that you constantly get hit with the wisdom of listening to advice or correction from others. It's the only way you can grow, become godly, achieve success, enjoy peace in life. Regardless of my practicing of this, I know I agree in my head because of the things I'm constantly trying to drill into my daughters. These days, I'm constantly telling my 6 year old to listen more than she talks because the people around who are speaking to her know more than she does and can see things more clearly than she can. Listen more than you speak. It's a good practice. My guess is that my kids will be learning that for the rest of their lives, usually the hard way. Just like me.
