I think Psalm 74 speaks to the unbelievable patience of God. The writer asks God why He puts up with all of the insults and dishonor that some people choose to show Him. When I see or hear open, irreverent defiance of God, it honestly offends me and I feel as if it should be repaid. But God sits back and allows it to happen. He's not like us. He is patient wanting to give time and space for even His enemies to turn and repent. We don't always react that way when insulted. We usually don't give space and time for grace to do its work.
