Anybody needing a summary of the first half of the Old Testament can just read this psalm. It's cool how the beginning of it tells us precisely why it was written. It was meant to be a way to pass down God's story to future generations. I feel that necessity almost daily now with my own two girls. Every day I'm responsible to pass the story of God's redemption down to them so that they can live in it and do the same for the next generation.
