Day 212

Matthew 6

My wife and I decided early on in our relationship that verse 33 was going to be the guiding verse of our life together. There's just so much in that one little verse to build your life around. It speaks to our trust and dependence on God. It keeps us from fear and worry. It puts our priorities on what matters. It holds a promise for our future. It gives us purpose that will never be lived out in vain. It guides toward a right relationship with God and others. And I can say that the promise of this verse is true. Although we've never done it perfectly, the more we place God's kingdom and righteousness above every other pursuit in life, He has always taken care of our needs.
