Faith is Scary

I just experienced one of the most exciting and terrifying moments in my journey as a Christ follower. Last night my wife and I had a family conference to determine what God is asking us to give for the next 3 years to the Chapter 2 campaign. Two things I can say about it: #1 - We have never given away this much money in our whole lives. #2 - In order for us to reach our goal, God is going to have to step in because there's a portion of the money that we have no idea where it's coming from. We're just trusting God to provide. That's why I think faith is scary. But it's also exciting because whatever God decides to step in and do in our lives, I'll know without a doubt that it was Him. And isn't that what I want anyway? For God to be evident and active in my life? So this morning, I'm scared but overflowing with gratitude. I'm thankful that God has seen fit to give me enough so that I can share. I'm thankful that I have a wonderful, Godly wife who is walking this faith journey right beside me. I'm thankful that every time I watch one of the 60,000 step across the line of faith, I'll know God used us to accomplish His mission...........Scary is good.

Jason,

We have been there and done that with "scary" faith before so, we can relate. We are doing the same thing for this committment and I am also excited to see how God provides. And, yes, it is great to have a Godly husband to share it with!! Keep up the good work!!
