Weekend Update

  • I always love Vision Day!! It reminds me of how blessed we are as a church to be in the position we're in. God's doing great things and we have to make the most of every opportunity.
  • The launch of our 2nd campus at Madras Middle School is coming up fast. Bill Coffman, the Madras campus pastor is blogging now. Get all the latest info here.
  • We're starting a new series this Sunday called "Get Off The Fence." If you're wondering how you can get fully involved in reaching the 60,000 with us, this series is for you. Whether you're staying here at the Sharpsburg campus or going to Madras, there's a place for you!
  • Always love to brag on our awesome student ministry. They had their annual Super Bowl Casino Party last night and had 130 students show up. I heard they had tons of adult volunteers lend a hand, many who don't normally serve in student ministry. Great job, guys!!
  • The Super Bowl. What a game!! I never saw that one coming. I really didn't care who won but I was glad to see that it wasn't a blowout. You actually wanted to watch the game all the way through for something other than the commercials.
  • People always ask me what my favorite Super Bowl commercial was. For me, it was the Doritos ad when the rat came flying through the wall. It totally shocked me and I busted out laughing. If you can't laugh at rodents attacking humans, then you just need to get out of here!
  • For a minute during halftime I actually thought Tom Petty was awake during his performance. But then again...nope...not so much!!
  • If I get one more phone call from a presidential candidate......(feel free to finish that sentence for me with angry, irrational behavior)

I give you props for your job well done on camera Jason. Other than a little fancy shot that you tried during 3rd, I think you did pretty well.

That was a lame attempt at curing my boredom from having sit on the front row for 3 services straight. And the shot would have worked out great but I forgot Gayle was going to stand up!!!
