- I got to hang out at the Madras campus today for their very first preview service. It was a great experience and I could tell that everybody learned a lot, including me. The best part for me was seeing the amazing potential this campus has to reach people in their community. When the prelude and first song was over, I had a moment where I said to myself: "CCC has definitely moved into the neighborhood."
- Talk about grace under pressure. Bill Coffman is so great at handling lots of people with lots of activity going on at the same time. That's just one reason he's going to be an awesome campus pastor.
- If anybody has any doubts about watching a message at a video venue, you should really come and experience the Madras campus. As Ed preached, there were so many powerful moments in the room. Once he commented that he bet people were laughing at something over at Madras and they actually were! Which added to the laughter! He asked the room to participate and repeat a phrase and the whole room participated. When he prayed and led us in a decision making moment, it was just as good as a live speaker. This thing works, people, and I know God's going to use it to reach Coweta County and beyond!!!!
- The room at Madras looks incredible. You could never tell that you're sitting in a middle school cafeteria. Rick Olsen and his team were set-up pros!
- If you want to continue keeping up with the latest news about Madras, check out Bill's blog. I'm sure he'll have some updates this week.
- Next week we wrap up the dANGERous series with a message on forgiveness. This will be my first official time to speak directly to the Madras campus. I hope I can do half the job Ed did today.
- In addition to losing an hour of sleep, I spent half of the night cleaning up puke!!! My poor little 4 year old was so sick. If no one's made it official yet, I will - spaghetti is the worst kind of puke to clean out of carpet.
- Don't forget to start inviting unconnected friends to Easter services. I'm inviting mine. 82% of your friends will say yes if you just ask them to come. We have some great services planned. You will not regret inviting your friends. You've got 2 weeks. Git R Done!!!
- I'm going to bed now and praying that the puking's over.
