Weekend Update

  • Had a lazy Saturday for the first time in a very long time. Took the girls for a picnic at the park and came home to watch the Dawgs take care of business on the west coast. Awesome day!
  • Speaking of the Dawgs...they're finally starting to look like the team everybody hyped them to be. Not quite there yet but I'm encouraged. This weekend will be interesting. I have several friends who are Tide fans. I hope I can brag on Sunday.
  • Really enjoying the Slang series. And not just because I've gotten a preaching break! It's always good to get re-focused on what we're all about at CCC. One more this Sunday and then we're on to the next series.
  • It was funny every service watching peoples' reaction when I introduced the new series coming up...Jesus Wouldn't Be A Christian! Trust me. This will be a challenging series for all of us and a great opportunity to invite friends.
  • Our latest postcards went out. I thought they were pretty tame but we still got a bunch of angry phone calls from Christians. They ain't seen nothing yet!
  • CCC Madras had a challenging day I heard. But amazing things continue to happen there. They have another baptism scheduled soon. Yea God!!!
  • My parents took the kids for a few hours Sunday evening so my wife and I could finish the weekend with a nice dinner out. Haven't had that in a while and it was great.
