Weekend Update

  • Celebrated my grandmother's birthday on Saturday night. The whole family was at our house. And as usual, we ate like kings!!!
  • It was good to be back speaking again today. I've missed that the past 4 weeks.
  • There's nothing like standing up to deliver a message after a powerful drama like we saw today. I was moved all 3 times I sat through it.
  • Gotta brag on our children's ministry again. Abby came home today and told us exactly what it means to be a hypocrite and how to clean up the "inside" and not just the outside. I love having our kids learn along with the adults. It makes for some great family discussions.
  • Ed's having an interesting discussion over at his blog about our latest postcard. Check it out.
  • Exciting news for my good friends, the Coffmans. Haven't heard? Click here and find out.
  • I've always been a little critical of what's known as the "prosperity gospel." This article makes the case that it actually contributed to the current financial crisis. Interesting stuff.
  • The Falcons looked good today.
  • Who would have ever predicted Vanderbilt to be leading the SEC East right now?
