Weekend Update

• I loved the tension in the room Sunday when I revealed that we were talking about homosexuality. Everybody was listening wondering what was about to happen.
• Ed did an outstanding job. Can't say enough about it. 
• Had a great conversation with a woman who has neighbors who are gay. All the other Christians on her street are misrepresenting Jesus and turning them away from God and His church. She broke down as she talked about how she wanted so much to share grace with them. Christ followers have to do better on this issue.
• CCC Madras had a great day. Lots of invitations were made and many of them showed up. Way to go, guys!
• This weekend we wrap up the series. We're talking about the image that all Christians want to do is "get people saved." The truth is...we sort of do! But we often handle it wrong. Don't miss this one. It's gonna challenge all of us.
• If you missed the announcement yesterday, our new series starts in November. It's called "I Want It All" and we're talking about how to have contentment with yourself, your stuff, and your situation.
• Our very own video guru, Andrew Marshall is blogging and posting cool video stuff from CCC. Check it out.
• I know it's early but we've planned the next "You Asked For It" service from your votes online. The question?...(drum roll)...What does the Bible teach about heaven and hell? It happens on Nov. 30.
• Had a blast on Saturday. The Dawgs won. My seats were incredible. Hung out downtown in Athens which is always awesome. Great college town.
• Speaking of the Dawgs...they still aren't playing to their potential. Yeah, I know. AJ Green looked great and Knowshon had a career day. But all cylinders still aren't clicking. That better change fast or the next 2 weeks won't be fun at all.
• I borrowed a GPS from a friend this weekend. I am officially an addict.
