Weekend Update

  • What a great series this has been. Ed ended it yesterday with an incredible message. Uncomfortable, but awesome.
  • We had a serious problem with one of our videos yesterday. If you were at the 9:00 Sharpsburg service, you saw it. But Andrew and Kelley came through and not only fixed it, but were able to get it to Madras in time. I love being on a staff that pulls together when there's a need and never says "that's not my job."
  • Loved the "christian talk show" video! It cracked me up every service. . . "caller, how's it feel to be saved?"
  • If you were wondering about that video (which I know you weren't), the redneck with the pear tree problem? That was me.
  • I loved the drama with the two friends. It was one of the most honest portrayals of what I feel for some of my friends who still don't know Jesus. It inspired me to be more open and honest with them.
  • I'm hearing lots of people looking forward to the new series this week: I Want It All. If you've ever felt discontent with yourself, your stuff or your situation - this is the series.
  • Looking forward to Friday night. We always have friends over with a big pot of chili after the kids to out trolling for candy. Then, I get lots of chocolate. Yeah, for me!
  • What a win for the Dawgs!! Offense finally looked deserving of that #1 preseason ranking. I won't talk about the defense. The whole season hinges on this weekend vs. Florida. Sure would be nice to get into the SEC championship for another crack at Bama.
  • I am so ready for this election to be over.
