Last year, my wife and I went on a vacation for 5 days without our kids. It was a great experience but at the same time we missed them. Every day we called and got to hear our girls' voices on the phone. That was good, but it wasn't the same. When our plane landed and we were back in the same country as they were, we were so close but it wasn't quite enough. It wasn't until I saw my girls that it felt like we were back in complete relationship with them. Now, the truth is we never were out of touch or relationship with them. But there's just nothing like seeing with your own eyes and touching with your own hands the ones you love. Verse 4 says that our salvation is right now kept safe in heaven for us. That's good news but not good enough. Verse 5 says that one day we will see our salvation with our own eyes, touch Him with our own hands. That's what it's all about. That's when it'll be real.
