2 Peter 1

The next time someone complains to me about what they need or what they don't have in the way of growing spiritually, I'm just going to remind them of verse 3. We really do have all that we need to know Christ, live a godly life and grow. The problem is most Christians have failed to mature into self-feeders. My 3 year old still likes it sometimes when her mom or I feed her. At some point, we had to tell her - either you learn to feed yourself or you don't eat. Sounds harsh but it's the only way to grow her into an adult that actually holds a fork and puts food in her mouth! That's kind of what Peter's talking about in the first 10 verses. The food we need to grow is out there. Now, pick it up and eat it for yourself and stop asking someone else to do it for you.
