David's really bragging in this psalm. Almost to the point of arrogance. And who knows? Maybe it is a little arrogant. The psalms are about human emotion and feeling rather than teaching us what to do. But even in his arrogance and gloating, you can tell that David puts the emphasis where it needs to be. God is the source of his victory. God's the one who protected him. God put David's enemies in their place. As long as you understand that and you stay focused on it, then I'd say that kind of pride is not such a bad thing.
