I used to think what Jesus said about his family (verses 19-21) was a little harsh. I never saw how God's family, the church could take a more crucial role in your life than your real family. I grew up with an incredible family. But after pouring my life into one church for more than 12 years now I sort of get it. The people I work and serve with and their families have come to mean so much to me and my family. I always knew that serving God in full time ministry would be rewarding. What I never anticipated were the relationships it would bring into my life. People that I can easily call my brothers, sisters, etc.
