The most memorable sermon I ever heard at a funeral was based on the account of the Transfiguration. It was an old preacher and he only had 3 points. #1 - Jesus is who He said He was. What happened on the mountain and what God said confirms it. #2 - The resurrection is real. The fact that Moses and Elijah where there proves it. And #3 - We'll know each other in heaven. Everybody recognized the resurrected men. And those 3 things tell us all we need to know to find comfort when someone we love dies. It's probably one of the best overall sermons I've ever heard simply because I still remember every point!
