Sometimes you forget that there were more than 12 disciples. Jesus sends out 72 and gives them one simple message to proclaim. And I think it's interesting that the message was exactly the same regardless of the reception they received. Whether they listen or run you out of town, tell them the kingdom of God is near. A good reminder for a guy who does what I do. Sometimes people listen. Sometimes they don't. But it doesn't matter. I'm charged to keep preaching the same message.
