I love Psalm 22 so much! It's really hard to deny the divine inspiration of God's word while reading that chapter. It's like you're reading the crucifixion story only it was written hundreds and hundreds of years before Jesus was ever born. But David writes these amazing phrases like he's there describing the scene in detail. When I read stuff like that I just want to stand up and scream because it reminds me of how real God is and how meticulous He is with His plan for our redemption. I wonder when those words came pouring out of David's pen if he thought - "Wow! Where did that come from?" The images are all exaggerations. David's hands and feet weren't pierced. Nobody was gambling for his clothes. People weren't standing there watching him die. His bones weren't out of joint. . . But Jesus experienced all that on the cross. God, thank You so much for reminding me today why I love Your word!!!
