Acts 1

I love the way this reading plan puts the book of Acts right after Luke since this is actually part 2 of what he wrote. Verse 3 says that during the 40 days after His resurrection, Jesus appeared several times and taught the apostles proving to them that He was alive. We don't know much at all about the details of those visits. I wish we did. Whatever happened in those 40 days changed those people so radically that the gospel spread from a tiny upstairs room and literally changed the entire planet. We are a result of what happened in those 40 days. It turned a timid, scared little group of people into fearless martyrs. Must have been some pretty intense stuff.
