Anybody who wants the cliff notes for the Old Testament can just read this chapter. Stephen basically gives the entire story of the Bible up to Jesus in 5 minutes. And it got him killed. Just yesterday, I saw a movie about a true story of an innocent woman who was stoned to death in Iran. Now, every time I read about a stoning in scripture my mind's going to go back to that movie. It's absolutely horrifying. One of the most brutal, humiliating things I've ever seen. And to think Stephen was focused on Jesus the whole time, forgiving the ones throwing the rocks.
