Wow. Two of the most awesome, beautiful psalms you could ever read back to back. "My life is just a breath." "My only hope is in you." Even as David feels harsh punishment from God, he reaches out to Him and humbles himself in God's presence. There is so much in this passage that I need to be in me. It would take me all day to write about it. (Another cool thing: The whole time I'm reading Psalm 40, I can hear THIS going through my head!!)
