Psalm 62, 63 & 64

I love the thought of Psalm 63:1. David writes this image while he's out in the middle of a desert wilderness. No doubt he was feeling the effects of heat and thirst in his physical body. But he says that the thirst in his soul for God is his primary concern. I was having a discussion recently with a friend about having those moments when your desire for God and His word and to be with Him override every other thought and need in your life. But unfortunately, most of us can only stay in that frame of mind for a short time. We go right back to thirsting and longing after other things.
