Weekend Update

• Well, I picked wrong twice in today's playoff games. I never would have guessed the younger Manning would win and the older would lose. Oh well. I still don't think it will change the fact that Green Bay and New England will meet in the Super Bowl. I think I'll be rooting for Green Bay just because I would love to see Brett Favre win it all at his age. It would be a huge achievement. Although, New England going 19-0 would be amazing too. So either way, I think it'll be fun to watch...as long as my picks aren't wrong again!
• I had a blast teaching today. I started off the day not sure if the message would connect with people or not. But all 3 crowds seemed to really track with me, even through the "heady" stuff at the end.
• Could anybody tell that I was fighting a cough during the entire message? Maybe the cough drop in my mouth gave it away. Hope it wasn't too distracting. It was all I could do in some moments to keep from hacking up a lung!

• Ed mentioned this today in his blog but I just wanted to bring it up again. This week our church management team is headed to a retreat where we'll be working on some major decisions for the future of our soon to be multi-site church. God's given us a huge opportunity but also huge responsibility. Pray for us that we listen to what God is telling us and follow His lead.
