"Tell his disciples, including Peter..." I love that. The angel made sure that Peter heard the news firsthand. Outside of Judas, Peter had turned on Jesus more than any of them. And most likely, he'd been beating himself up more than anybody for the past couple of days. Over and over again, God shows Himself to be the God of second chances. I'm writing a message on Jonah chapter 3 this week, and that theme has been drilled into me the past few days. It's amazing how quickly I feel like giving up on people sometimes when they blow it. And it's even more amazing how unwilling God is to give up on us.
